Times Media Events: Great Insight on Leadership and Business
How to move your product in South Africa – FMCG Insights in association with Sowetan
The best way for any business to truly understand the market within which it operates, is to go the source. And no place can be as volatile and highly competitive as that of a developing country with ever-growing needs, resources, challenges, and capabilities.

- The Important Role of Creative Agencies

Leaders on the Move – A unique, mobile conference for the leaders of tomorrow
The Leaders on the Move series is brought to you by Times Media, in association with the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies - a unique, full-day conference for the leaders of tomorrow, which takes place periodically throughout the year.
This Friday, 4 March 2016, the Leaders on the Move bus will pull off once again with three things on its agenda: to inspire, motivate, and mingle with greatness.
In this highly charged and delightfully intimate space, a handful of young to middle aged men and women; from those who are up-and-coming entrepreneurs, to executives who are on the right trajectory; will meet at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, for an exhilarating day that begins with a breakfast talk with one carefully selected CEO. Attending delegates will then be ferried by bus – upon which they will have the opportunity to network and share their own ideas of leadership with each other as they make their way from one specially selected CEO’s headquarters to another. The event has seen great successes in its debut year – and promises to be even bigger and better this 2016 with a published book of insights currently in the pipeline, and already featuring a set of highly coveted mentors for the first leg of the tour, namely Alan Pullinger (CEO - FirstRand Limited), Herman Mashaba (CEO - Lephatsi Investments), Yusuf Randera Rees (CEO - Awethu Projects), and Mark Stewart (CEO - BDO).

The Director’s Event – SA’s Biggest Board Meeting
Fondly termed ‘SA’s Biggest Board Meeting’, The Directors’ Event, is brought to you by MMI Holdings in association with the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies and the Institute of Directors. The methodology of the Directors Event is to focus on a series of insightful round table discussions, moderated in-depth by leading media personalities, and with the aim of harnessing the collective intellectual energy of leaders from both the private and public sector in order to strike a new path to national financial wellness and cohesion.
These critical topics will be debated at The Directors’ Event on Friday, 8 April 2016 at the Sandton Convention Center:
- Quality affordable healthcare
- Innovation that Pays
- The Importance of Education and Mentoring for our future leaders
- South Africa’s global competitiveness
With a total of six Leaders on the Move sessions in the past year alone - the last of which was an additional tour included by popular public demand - as well as the successful instalment of SA’s biggest board meeting in its debut year where some 300 delegates made themselves available for the event: we think that it’s worthwhile for any organisation or individual who wishes to attend, to secure a seat for themselves at either occasion.
To be a part of either one of these progressively unique one-day sessions, either as a delegate, or through corporate partnership, please contact Marcia on or for further information.
